5th grade is learning about the colonists. They ate succotash and pumpkin cookies and they made a colonial toy called a whirligig.

Mrs. Snodgrass's 7th grade Science class had some fun Friday making elephant toothpaste!

Mrs. Akerman's Family and Consumer Science class is learning about caring for children. Twelve of her students received their very own flour baby yesterday. Students will be responsible for taking care of the "baby" throughout the school day and over the weekend. Students' grade will be based on how responsible and caring they are for the baby. If they are seen mistreating or letting others take care of the baby, their grade will suffer. They are learning real life applicable skills. Keep an eye out for flour babies in your community!

🦅 From Coach T.:
Freshman class dues are due tomorrow, Sept. 11th. Please bring your $10 to Ms. Whorton by the end of the day tomorrow.

Congratulations to our JH & HS Students of the Month! This month we recognized Alyssa Marchbanks and Angel Clark for showing the character trait of diligence.
If you see these two out and about, give them a pat on the back! Congratulations!

Mrs. Darr's Pre-K started the morning off right with the annual friendship web. The purpose of this activity is to think of good characteristics in one another, and what makes us all friends, Mrs. Darr started by throwing the yarn at someone and telling them her favorite quality about them. They held the string and then threw the yarn at a fellow classmate saying why they like them. The final product was this awesome friendship web. This is one of Mrs. Darr's all-time favorite character building activities! ♥

🦅Falcon Family: It's time for the elementary t-shirt fundraiser! Visit an elementary teacher, Mrs. Glenn, or Mrs. Griffis to place your order.
