Due to the forecasted winter storm and out of an abundance of caution for students and staff, New Lima Public Schools will transition to virtual learning for Friday, January 10, 2025. Assignment packets will go home Thursday afternoon with students and those will need to be completed and returned the day we come back to school. Not completing and turning in those assignments will result in an absence for January 10. Teachers will be available for questions during school hours on Friday via email or whatever online platform your student’s classes use for communication. All extra-curricular activities including the Alumni Basketball game are canceled for Friday, January 10, 2025. We will reschedule this event in the coming days. Thank you, be safe and stay warm.
FIELD TRIP INFORMATION FOR THE ELEMENTARY
We will be rescheduling the field trip for 3rd and 5th grade. They will be going on Friday, January 17, along with 4th and 6th grade. All information sent home in notes will remain the same, such as departure times and lunch choices. The only change is the date. We are so sorry for the inconvenience.

Any 4H students wanting to submit food or craft items will need to bring them to school on Wednesday, December 18. Mrs. Barkhimer will be taking them to the OSU extension office by 8:00 am. All entries will be returned to students when we resume classes on January 6th. Thank you.

The students of the month for November and December were able to have the opportunity to have cocoa and cookies with a cop for their reward. Captain Chris Perteet and Deputy Madelyn Rogers came to hang out with the kiddos, along with reading them a Christmas story or two. It was a great time!!!

Make sure you check your email this weekend!!!!! If you ordered the digital print of your student, all images will be emailed this weekend. If you missed the deadline, you can still order. We photographed all students individually. Just send your $5.00 to the office next week, and we will send them to you. Thank you to everyone who purchased your pictures. We raised almost $500.00 to go towards our petting zoo experience in the spring semester.
